Transformers Prime First Edition figures are finally reaching stores on this short Thanksgiving week Radio Free Cybertron for November 23, 2011. JD Church hosts with John DeLuna, Aimee, Exvee and Chris McFeely. The crew covers a Dark of the Moon Signature Edition trilogy set limited to 5,000 copies and signed by Michael Bay. Chris explains the AllSpark Almanac addendum in The Stunticon Job and his annotations of its hidden languages. Rob’s Twitter Theater closes its Thanksgiving greatest-hits run, and the crew shares Christmas wish lists.

MakeToys Battle Tanker Up for Pre-Order
MakeToys’ Battle Tanker, an add-on kit for Generations G2 Optimus Prime, is up for pre-order at about $100, with a sword for first-edition buyers. The crew calls it anime-tastic, with missiles everywhere, almost like Optimus Prime gone Fire Convoy. One host says he isn’t following third-party toys at all, and he is glad the AllSpark moved them to a subforum. [Source: not found]
Transformers Prime First Edition Hits Stores
Transformers Prime First Edition figures, such as Arcee and Bumblebee, started turning up in stores this past week. The first sighting was near John DeLuna in Texas or Oklahoma. One host explains that the first Prime toys were meant to roll out in Generations before Hasbro spun them into their own line. The crew says First Edition, with five or six deluxes and some Voyagers across waves, is hardly a preview. They call it big-box excluded rather than a Toys R Us exclusive, since Walmart pegs are still 10 deep in movie deluxes. Chris McFeely hasn’t seen any Prime toys in the UK. [Source: not found]
Dark of the Moon Signature Edition Trilogy Set
A Signature Edition trilogy set, limited to 5,000 copies and autographed by Michael Bay, is coming in December through Amazon and other U.S. retailers. It includes the three movies plus behind-the-scenes content, with no price announced. The crew jokes about Bay signing 5,000 boxes and suspects a printed signature. They want a listener to report whether the signature is real and what the extras are. Chris is annoyed that the UK is getting only the plain Dark of the Moon release, not the special edition he expected. [Source: not found]
The Stunticon Job and the AllSpark Almanac Addendum
The Stunticon Job, the BotCon 2011 comic, is now in comic shops through Diamond. The store edition adds an AllSpark Almanac addendum, 16 pages by Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster covering the comic’s characters and BotCon 2011. Chris McFeely again translated its alien text and catalogued its references. He had to learn some Tolkien Elvish and found Futurama and District 9 alien languages, plus an unsolved code in the Mini-Con profiles. Chris notes his name appears on a gas station attendant’s badge in the second Almanac.
TFWiki Spotlight: The Stunticon Job
Chris spotlights the TFWiki article on The Stunticon Job. The BotCon script reading adapted the story as an audio play with extra scenes, which the article summarizes. It also has a full cameo cast list, notes and errors, and links to Chris’s annotations of the addendum.
Twitter Theater: Thanksgiving Greatest Hits Finale
Rob closes the Twitter Theater Thanksgiving greatest-hits run with the creepiest pick: a fan video set to Shania Twain’s That’s Still the One. It shows bad drawings of Optimus Prime romancing a fan character. Rob says people blame Michael Bay for ruining their childhood, but this did far worse.
Last Stand of the Wreckers Hardcover Gets New Fiction
Chris reports that Nick Roche says the Last Stand of the Wreckers hardcover will include new fiction. Trevor Hutchison was finishing the cover the same day. Chris doesn’t usually double-dip on collections but plans to buy this one. [Source: Transmasters UK forum]
Christmas Wish Lists
John DeLuna is hinting to his wife for a G1 Sixshot, which he had as a kid but never owned as an adult. Aimee wants the Last Stand of the Wreckers hardcover. Chris has nothing specific in mind and just bought an Encore Devastator. Exvee just wants a decent pair of pants.
