Second Asia-Exclusive Seekers Set Revealed

Takara’s second set of Asia-exclusive Generations Seekers includes Dirge, Thrust and Ramjet in slightly different decos on the long-running Starscream mold. One host is tempted at about $260 for all six. Another host suspects the figures would cost less on eBay, though Ramjet is pricey. He regrets selling his Ramjet and Skywarp. The crew notes the first Asia set drove the aftermarket because of the Ultra Magnus upgrade kit. [Source: not found]

G2 Bruticus In Stock at Big Bad Toy Store

Big Bad Toy Store says G2 Bruticus is in stock, though it may have to wait for its release date to ship. One host cancels his Amazon pre-order, since he has no attachment to G2 and doesn’t need two. Another host’s has already shipped. [Source: Big Bad Toy Store]

Kabaya Series 6 Gum Kits

Tamashii Nations Disney Combiner

What the Crew Picked Up

One host’s Arms Microns won’t arrive until about January. He did find First Edition Arcee and says he’s glad he waited. Another calls First Edition Starscream the best of the First Edition figures. One host plans to sell Slipstream from his BotCon set and keep Breakdown, likely Scourge and maybe Jackpot.

Rescue Center: Deep Trouble

Aimee and Nicole review the Rescue Bots episode Deep Trouble, which aired May 5, 2012. Broken underwater sensors leave the mayor’s boat in danger, and Doc Greene traces the problem to his destroyed electromagnetic sensor. On a Burns family fishing trip, Heatwave’s electromagnetic fishing line attracts a robot shark with laser eyes, actually a shark-shaped sub. The bots lure it away from a ferry and Blades carries it off before it self-destructs. The episode teases Dr. Morocco as the season’s villain. They call it their favorite of the season for its Jaws references, its Captain Shaw nod to Robert Shaw and Blades’ pirate moment.

Transformers Rewind: Chain of Command

In the Beast Wars episode Chain of Command, an alien probe captures Optimus Primal at the standing stones, and Dinobot declares himself leader. Optimus radios from inside the probe and makes Rattrap leader. Rattrap earns Dinobot’s respect by risking himself to protect the base. Rhinox builds a device to pull Optimus out, and the monument turns out to be a single device that releases him. The crew praises Rattrap’s leadership and Rhinox as a first officer. One host calls it the first standout Season 1 episode.

Transformers Universe Bracelets

Brian wears the purple Transformers Universe bracelet from BotCon everywhere. The crew also praises the Transformers Universe media bracelet, a USB band with press files. Brian has priced USB bracelets of RFC episodes for next BotCon at about $5 each. Upcoming Rewinds include Hoist Goes Hollywood, Surprise Party, The Core and the infamous Headmasters dub episode Life Can Be Sacrificed for Peace on Earth.
