KFC Toys Ironpaw and Evil Ironpaw
KFC Toys revealed Ironpaw, its Masterpiece-scale not-Steeljaw, and an evil version. The crew calls it a beefed-up Ravage and is impressed it transforms into a cassette, at about $26 each. Scaleface points out that the black Nightstalker Ironpaw looks like a Voltron lion, and the crew would buy a full set of five. One host notes third-party techniques keep improving while competition pushes prices down. [Source: TFW2005]
Rescue Bots Panel Coming to BotCon 2013
BotCon 2013 will have a Rescue Bots panel with voice actors, which the crew calls a nice gesture. With Prime ending, Rescue Bots may be the only Transformers show on the Hub, which Diecast is not thrilled about. Diecast has never watched it because it skews young, and the crew counters with two words: Tim Curry. [Source: TFW2005]
Transformers 4 Rumors: Dinobots, Galvatron and Hound
Rumors say the Dinobots, or at least Grimlock, will appear in Transformers 4, along with Galvatron and Hound. One host doubts the Dinobots, arguing that car and military sponsorships drive the movie alt modes and Michael Bay has resisted dinosaurs. Others point out the movies have used unlicensed modes before. One host thinks Grimlock will show up in Transformers Prime first, given hints in recent episodes. Brian notes any movie Galvatron will be a new take on the name. [Source: TFormers]
Beast Hunters Bot Shots Revealed
New Bot Shots include Blitzwing, Cindersaur, Jazz, Kup, Optimus Prime and Scourge. One host has nearly given up on the line, now $5.99 at Toys R Us and turning up at discount stores. The crew debates Bot Shots versus Spy Changers and agrees the line had promise that fizzled. [Source: not found]
Cheetimus Primal’s Pre-Beast Wars Dinobot Custom
Customizer Cheetimus Primal posted a pre-Beast Wars Dinobot built from Generations Springer. Brian would have preordered it if he could.
More Photos of Generations Trailcutter
New photos show Trailcutter, one of them badly mistransformed at the shoulders. Brian really wants it, since the 1984 and 1985 Autobot cars are nearly complete in Classics and Generations form. He would die happy with a Skids. [Source: TFW2005]
Beast Hunters Legion Class Jet Vehicon
A Legion Class jet Vehicon is coming this summer, and the crew expects army building. Brian wishes the US had gotten Takara’s deluxe jet Vehicon, which Don imported months ago. They guess its pointy wings kept it from US release. [Source: TFW2005]
Sega Announces Transformers Human Alliance Arcade Game
Sega is making Transformers Human Alliance, a light-gun arcade game. Brian loves arcade games and says this is the first true Transformers arcade game he knows of, apart from pinball. [Source: TFormers]
Transformers Go! Wave Images
Paladin shared images of the Transformers Go! wave: the three-piece combiner, a Grimlock and a beast repaint. The crew also looks at Takara’s Ratbat, a retool of Scourge with longer wings, due in June. One host has it preordered from Captured Prey. [Source: not found]
Rob Springer Answers a Listener Question
Brad Moe asks what the next cartoon might be. Rob expects it in fall 2014, set in the Aligned continuity, perhaps with a Fall of Cybertron look. He would love a traditional hand-drawn style, even if done in Flash, with more space exploration and a bigger cast. He liked Prime but found its pacing uneven, with plot devices that built up and then vanished. Beast Hunters seems more even to him. He invites listeners to post what they want to see.
Transformers Prime Retro Review: Out of His Head
Aimee and Nicole review the conclusion to “Sick Mind,” written by Nicole Dubuc. Megatron’s consciousness hitchhikes in Bumblebee’s mind, while the Decepticons use a stolen telescope lens to melt the Arctic ice for Energon. They love Raf’s bond with Bumblebee, his family photo and his bravery against Megatron. Breakdown takes on Bulkhead and Arcee alone, and Optimus Prime destroys the lens. Megatron returns to his body and drags Starscream away by the face, which they call a great Steve Blum moment.

Comic Review: Robots in Disguise #17
Rob and Exvee call this a one-shot. Shockwave shoots Dreadwing in Crystal City and reminisces about his past. He studied under Jhiaxus, had an uneasy friendship with Dai Atlas in the Senate, and was turned into the emotionless Shockwave. They like that he joins Megatron simply because it is a better deal, not out of anger. A regenerating substance keeps Dreadwing alive, and they suspect it points toward Dark Cybertron. Livio Ramondelli’s painted art is hit and miss, with one panel where Jhiaxus looks like a Muppet, but it is much easier to follow than Syndromica. They would like to see Casey Coller on the book after his cover.
