Comic News with Aimee Morgan
Amazon now lists the Prelude spotlight trade as Dark Prelude. Aimee previewed the 30th Anniversary Collection and preordered it, comparing it to The Vault. Andrew Griffith and Alex Milne will attend TFCon and Auto Assembly, and Livio Ramondelli will be at Charticon. At Comic-Con, IDW confirmed Dark Cybertron runs 12 issues across More Than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise from November. Phil Jimenez joins the art team, and every issue will be packed with toys. October solicits include More Than Meets the Eye #22, a documentary filmed by Rewind, and ReGeneration One #95 with Rodimus Prime.

Monstrosity Review: Issues 6 to 9
Aimee reviews four digital issues of Monstrosity. Ratchet, Wheeljack, Perceptor and Jetfire find a lake of raw Energon guarded by kaiju-like creatures. Hun-Gurrr hunts Megatron, and a riot breaks out as only paying citizens can leave Cybertron. Grimlock loses control until Optimus Prime calms him, and Scorponok wakes the giant creatures. Aimee rates the run about a four and praises Livio Ramondelli’s art and comiXology’s guided view.
Comic Review: Beast Hunters #3
Rob and Exvee review Mike Johnson’s first scripted issue. Grimlock and a chatty Swoop fight Shockwave’s generic Forged, then find a buried chamber of stasis pods. Out break a Tyrannosaurus and other organic dinosaurs. Snarl and Sludge meet a new character named Zoom. The reviewers say the pacing works, but Agustin Padilla’s art is slipping under deadline pressure.
