A photo shows the vehicle mode of Generations Legends Cliffjumper, a redeco of Legends Bumblebee with the same Mini-Con. The crew is baffled by the purple in the deco and wonders whether the newer design team wants to try something different. [Source: TFormers]

A list in Takara Tomy’s Transformers Generations book shows candidates for an upcoming mail-away exclusive. Concept Art for Galvatron and Jazz
New concept art shows Galvatron and Jazz in their Robots in Disguise comic designs. The crew calls Galvatron busy but very Galvatron, and any toy would beat the Universe Deluxe Galvatron. Jazz drops his door wings, which leads to talk about how the coming Masterpiece Jazz might handle them. [Source: TFW2005]

Q&A with Rob Springer
KaijuMadness349 asks what Rob Springer thinks of the changes to the Transformers Universe game. He understands the switch from an MMO to a battle arena game, since the publisher wants to make money and he has little spare time. He worries about high-priced founder packs with no release date, which he says borders on gouging. He hopes he is wrong.
Comic Review: More Than Meets the Eye #29
Exvee and Rob call More Than Meets the Eye #29 better than #28, since it stays in one time and place. Megatron’s trial is enjoyable, and a Starscream line made one reviewer laugh harder than any comic in years. They praise Alex Milne as the only artist who draws Rattrap’s face without making him a monster. Joana Lafuente’s warmer colors stand out at first, then stop being noticeable.

This Week in History
In 1996, “Beast Wars, Part 1” premiered in the US, so Beast Wars is now 18. The crew agrees the show had a rough start and found its footing late in season one. One host fell for it when Rhinox pulled out his chain guns. The talk turns to G1, where the crew insists season three is the best.
Hasbro Design Team Q&A
Rob took part in a Q&A with Hasbro’s Transformers design team alongside Topless Robot and another site. The team shares credit for bringing chrome back, but plans to limit it to larger size classes and Platinum Edition releases to reduce flaking. One host hates chrome, while another says it depends on the application. The team confirmed a conscious effort to keep joints tighter. Every Thursday morning, the designers transform each other’s toys for two hours and take notes, which they say feels like having homework checked. The crew asks how Age of Extinction Slug passed that test. The partnership with IDW will continue, with ideas flowing in both directions.
What We Got This Week
Brian got Generations Legends Cosmos and transformed him during the comic segment. He likes it.
