Recorded in a St. Charles hotel room on BotCon Wednesday, this short pre-show covers the week’s one big story. Transformers: Devastation, a G1-styled, cel-shaded action game from PlatinumGames and Activision, leaked and then appeared at E3. Matt and another host got an early look at the customizing class figure, a Galvatron-colored Lio Convoy. The crew also previews the BotCon Hasbro panel and argues over whether a G2 Devastator can happen.

Transformers: Devastation Revealed
PlatinumGames is developing Transformers: Devastation, published by Activision. It is a G1-styled, cel-shaded action game that looks like the cartoon. The E3 showing lists five playable Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Sideswipe and Grimlock. Reports mention up to 50 weapons, transforming at will and a rail-shooter turret section. Brian first took it for a cheap download title because the gameplay looks simple. Others love the cartoon look and expect a stream of DLC, ideally a playable Devastator. Don prefers it to the busier Cybertron games, which he found hard to follow. It is coming to PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. [Source: not found]
BotCon 2015 Customizing Class Figure Is Galva Convoy
The customizing class figure is Lio Convoy in Galvatron colors, a nod to a rare Lucky Draw release. It builds on the Collectors’ Club’s free Lio Convoy, whose box art already showed the purple version. Matt and another host saw it in person and posted photos to the RFC Twitter account. The crew says it looks better in person than in the photos online.
What to Expect From the BotCon Hasbro Panel
Exvee’s TFormers preview predicts Combiner Wars Wave 4, which Hasbro has not formally acknowledged. He also expects the first 2016 wave, likely the Combaticons. Leaked listings heavy on cassette characters suggest a Leader class Soundwave or Blaster. The crew notes that SDCC and New York Comic Con now take many reveals that once went to BotCon. One host hopes for a U.S. Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, while another jokes Hasbro will bring Star Saber instead.
Will G2 Devastator Ever Happen?
Don argues a G2 Devastator would be easy money once Hasbro recoups the mold. Others counter that Hasbro budgets each mold for a set number of releases, as it did with Metroplex. They point to factory scheduling, shelf-space risk and a likely price near $150. Everyone agrees they would buy one if it existed.
