A leaked photo shows what looks like the first Titan Wars reveal: a Blaster with a base mode and a tiny partner robot. Fans Toys reissues Quakewave in toy, cartoon and clear versions and announces a 500-piece G2 Scoria. Brian reviews MakeToys Cupola, a gorgeous but frustrating Chromedome homage. Amazon Prime Day disappoints, apart from a Platinum Edition Astrotrain and Blitzwing deal that sells out in under two minutes.

Titan Wars Blaster Leaks

A photo of a computer screen shows Blaster with a battle station mode and a small red robot. The crew believes it is Leader class. One host heard Hasbro staff call the BotCon banner a printing error. One host thinks this was always meant as a New York Comic Con reveal. Don suspects a deliberate leak to keep the buzz going. Seats all over the toy hint at vehicles for Headmasters or other small figures. [Source: TFW2005]

Amazon Prime Day Underwhelms

Prime Day felt more like a clearance sale to the crew. Legends Groove dropped to $10.99 and Voyager Roadbuster to $13. A lightning deal on the Platinum Edition Astrotrain and Blitzwing two-pack was fully claimed in under two minutes.

Fans Toys Reissues Quakewave

Fans Toys is reissuing Quakewave, its Shockwave homage, in toy and cartoon colors at about $155 each. A transparent version is limited to about 800 pieces, at close to $200. The original sold for over $400 on the secondary market. Don skipped Quakewave because Shockwave is not a character he needs to upgrade. One host fears the clear plastic could crack. Fans Toys Announces a 500-Piece G2 Scoria

Fans Toys announced a G2 Scoria limited to 500 pieces, and one host has already preordered. Don loves G2 but does not want G2 Dinobots. The talk turns to the blue G2 Grimlock variants, from darker blue to powder blue and teal. [Source: TFormers]

Fans Toys Shows Its Kickback Homage

Fans Toys showed its Kickback homage. Several hosts expect its Insecticons to be the best of the third-party sets. Others still prefer a rival company’s take. [Source: TFW2005]

More Third-Party Notes

Mastermind Creations posted new photos of Spartan standing next to Springer. Diecast reviewed Fans Toys Tesla, about $120, and recommends it while calling it imperfect. [Source: not found]

On TFormers This Week

TFormers posted an SDCC 2015 wrap-up and launched Devastator Week. Rob wrote Constructicon then-and-now features, Exvee kept reviewing SDCC Devastator, and Rob reviewed Combiner Hunters Chromia.

What We Got This Week

Chris found a loose Legends Groove for $5.

Don found the hard-to-find Age of Extinction Power Battlers Junkheap dump truck at Ross after weeks of searching.

Diecast opened MakeToys Utopia and likes it, and posted photos on Twitter.

Brian got the LG-EX Black Convoy, the Tokyo Toy Show exclusive. Next to the Collectors’ Club Scourge, each has paint the other lacks, and neither is clearly better. He also got MakeToys Cupola, which stands to Ultra Magnus’s shoulders. The robot mode is gallery-worthy, but he could not get the panels and pegs into vehicle mode. He calls it beautiful but too pricey to buy another.

John got the LG-EX Armada Megatron, the only way to get Armada Megatron on this mold. He also has a fresh Titan Class Devastator, which he calls impressive but hit and miss.
