TakaraTomy reveals Unite Warriors Megatronia, its new take on Victorion, and several hosts are already buying. Side-by-side photos of Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors Computron make choosing a coin toss, and Matt is surprised how much he likes Hasbro’s set. Titans Return Deluxe wave 2 turns up at Walgreens, and a Voyager Galvatron test shot shows the IDW face that was cut. Diecast’s Headmasters arrive from Taobao in plastic bags, possibly as factory rejects. Brian also calls Combiner Wars episode 4 the best yet.
Combiner Wars Episode 4
Brian liked episode 4 better than the first three. He thinks it should have been the second episode, with episodes 2 and 3 merged and the first used as a prelude. It feels like its own continuity. Most of the crew hasn’t watched it yet.
This Week in History
In 2008, preorders opened for Fun Publications’ Timelines Nightbeat. The Energon mold turned out well, but the head’s ear sculpts didn’t fit in the space available. Fans glued on guns from a Cobra Commander figure to fake the look. In 2006, the first issue of the Kiss Players manga came out, which Chris suggested. The crew remembers it as the first sign of how strange Kiss Players was.

What We Got This Week
Diecast got the gold Tablet Soundwave sold only in Asia and a white MP-10-style Optimus Prime for nostalgia. He also got four Legends Headmasters from Taobao for about $45, delivered in plastic bags. Mindwipe’s feet were on backwards and Chromedome was missing a wheel, but Weirdwolf was perfect.
Matt got Combiner Wars Computron and is surprised how much he likes it. He still prefers Unite Warriors’ bold choices, but these colors pop in person. He also got the Walgreens Brainstorm early from Robot Kingdom.
Brian finally got G2 Bruticus from Amazon, six weeks after ordering, for $69.
Rob got Transformers: The Movie on Blu-ray. He says the restoration is impressive, especially the background paintings. He spotted the crew floating away from Unicron’s explosion, which he had never seen before.
Don got Warrior Class Starscream from Toys “R” Us and Robots in Disguise Beast Box, the Mini-Con gorilla steam shovel.
