Hasbro SDCC 2017 Exclusives Listed on Hasbro Toy Shop
The SDCC exclusives went live on Hasbro Toy Shop while Brian was stuck in a meeting. He skipped the Revolution box set, since Leoric was the only figure he wanted. Don got a Primitive Skateboarding Optimus Prime and already has a shipping notice. Supply looked very limited, and eBay prices hit $100. The Last Knight Road Debris Optimus Prime is still available. The crew marvels that two Hasbro teams priced such different exclusives so closely. One host calls this year’s exclusives the best value in years. [Source: Toy Hype USA]
Transformers: The Last Knight Comes Home in September
The Last Knight arrives on Digital HD on September 12 and Blu-ray on September 26. Brian calls the cover art the most boring he has seen. Rob notes that is fast for a summer blockbuster. [Source: TFormers]
Titans Return Slugslinger Hits Australian Retail, Wave 6 Assortment Revealed
Wave 6 packs three Slugslinger, two Hot Rod, two Kup and one Hardhead per case. Slugslinger is the only new figure. The crew expects the Hot Rods are there as a cheaper option next to Power of the Primes Rodimus Prime. They expect the wave in the US around October or November. [Source: TFormers]
TakaraTomy Legends Reissues Canceled
TakaraTomy polled preorders for several Legends reissues. Jetfire, Megatron and Fortress Maximus with Chromedome are now canceled. The Legends Blurr reissue survives for now, which helps anyone who missed it. Nobody is surprised that Megatron did not sell again. [Source: TFormers]
Generations Metroplex Reissued in Japan as an LG-EX Exclusive
The 2013 Metroplex returns in a new deco for about $259.99. Matt loves the deco, but the crew balks at the price. One host still prefers MakeToys’ Utopia, though he admits it is too small. A chat member says he recently paid that much for a used Metroplex. [Source: TFormers]
TFNation’s Transformers Animated: Trial and Error to Get a Second Printing
TFNation’s unofficial Animated continuation sold well enough for a second printing. The crew says TFNation looked bigger and more professional than BotCon used to be, and hopes TFCon USA is as much fun. The talk turns to how well Animated toys hold up, and the crew names favorite Armada toys. [Source: TFormers]
Perfect Effect PC-20 Black Jinrai Upgrade for SDCC Optimus Prime

Perfect Effect Teases a Transmetal 2 Megatron Figure

The Last Knight Deluxe Cogman Premier Edition Gallery
Cogman looks good, and Brian hopes to find one. Wave 3 appears to come in two case versions, one with Drift and one with Cogman. Robot Kingdom has individual preorders, and the TakaraTomy version may arrive in November. One host predicts the wave will end up at Ross. [Source: TFormers]
January Legends Official Photos and MP-40 Targetmaster Hot Rod
TakaraTomy’s official photos show the Clones, Blitzwing and Overlord more clearly. One host is content with the Hasbro Overlord, and the crew wishes Giga and Mega were proper Godmasters. The same batch shows MP-40 Targetmaster Hot Rod. Several hosts like its colors, though one calls the mold the weakest Masterpiece on his shelf. [Source: TFormers]
Dear RFC
Listener Mark suggests asking listeners what they bought each week and polling the most popular pickup on There Goes My Money. The crew likes the idea, and Diecast will collect pickups at @diecast2 starting next week.
What’s on TFormers
Rob posted a Cyberverse Q&A on what is known, guessed and wished for. He also listed the five G1 Headmasters still missing from Titans Return and Legends. A third article charts the Primitive Skateboarding Optimus Prime and Magnus Prime mold history.
What We Got This Week
Diecast got his second knockoff clear Generation Toy Combaticon, which swaps in solid hands, at roughly $8 to $9 each. He also got the licensed Mega Action Series Optimus Prime, a huge non-transforming figure about the size of Combiner Wars Devastator. Its paint is crisp in places and missing in spots. His replacement Titans Return Trypticon from Amazon works perfectly out of the box.
Don got a $2.50 Titan Master Fangry on clearance.
Matt had no new toys this week, just shelves for them.
Rob got Titan Master Shuffler from Don and loves its tank and elephant modes.
Brian got The Last Knight Toys R Us exclusive Skullitron from Orson at Captured Prey.
