Diecast reports back from Hasbro’s New York Comic Con 2018 press event, where Siege finally revealed its Decepticons. The tank half of a 2019 Titan Class figure, likely Omega Supreme, ships with Micromaster Countdown, but Shockwave steals the show. Brunt, Refraktor and Flywheels win the crew over, while the battle-damage deco on Soundwave divides them. Matt is overjoyed about Legends LG-EX Big Powered, a Transformers Zone tribute. Chris hosts while Brian is out.

TANK! NYCC 2018 Hasbro Panel Reveals Part Of 2019 Titan, Omega Supreme
Hasbro showed only a tank component, so the reveal never actually confirms Omega Supreme. It comes with Micromaster Countdown, who fits inside the tank. One host hopes Hasbro leans into the rocket base as a playset. The crew pitches a motorized or friction-powered tank that drives around the track. One host doubts Hasbro would add cost to a Titan already near $170. Chris thinks an electric motor would be simpler than a friction one. The crew also thinks convention-exclusive Titans are over, since smaller exclusives sell through faster. [Source: TFormers]
Siege Official Decepticon Images From IGN
IGN debuted promo images of Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Starscream and Refraktor. Diecast saw the prototypes in person and says they look much better than the renders. Seeing them up close turned him into a Siege buyer. Shockwave is the crew’s favorite, with a Voyager-sized core, Leader-class armor and a light-piped eye on the ship. Soundwave’s battle-damaged chest deco is too heavy for several hosts. One host expects Toyhax labels to fix it. Another has dubbed Soundwave’s alternate mode the ‘battle slab.’ Refraktor takes three figures to build the camera mode, or about $60. Starscream’s Tetrajet design splits the crew. [Source: TFormers]
Siege Display Adds Skytread, Brunt, Laserbeak and Ravage To Decepticon Ranks
Brunt, a tank Weaponizer, is the post-panel hit. One host notes its robot mode borrows the Centurion design from IDW’s Stormbringer, and he wants a silver redeco to army-build. Skytread does not split into two robots, but it shares Battletrap’s connecting clip. Laserbeak uses its pre-Earth design, while Ravage reminds the crew of the Fall of Cybertron version. Promo file names suggest the pair will be sold as Soundwave Spy Patrol. Diecast says Hasbro hid Easter eggs in the diorama, including a lamppost that is really Soundwave. [Source: TFormers]
Official SIEGE Transformers Images: Blitzwing, Shockwave, Refraktor, Brunt, More
The Bumblebee movie’s first Blitzwing toy is an Energon Igniter retool of Revenge of the Fallen Megatron. It wears the colors from the prequel comic, not the film. One host suspects the character started as Starscream before becoming Blitzwing. Skywarp is missing from the Decepticon poster, and the crew predicts he will be an exclusive. [Source: TFormers]
Transformers Cyberverse Action Attacker Official Images
One host relays that Hasbro says kids like the pop-out gimmicks. The crew likes Cyberverse Prowl and notes Slipstream finally uses the correct seeker body. The $30 Ultimate Class Optimus Prime and Megatron and a show-accurate Bumblebee get a nod. The half-transforming Scout Class figures lose the crew completely. [Source: TFormers]
Studio Series Drift With Baby Dinobots Now Preordering At Entertainment Earth
The Drift set with the baby Dinobots is up for preorder at Entertainment Earth, Big Bad Toy Store and TFSource. One host ordered from Entertainment Earth for its mystery Hasbro gift. Drift gets a new head, a new sword and changed thighs, and the deco now matches the movie. An earlier Amazon listing suggests Drift may also get a separate release. [Source: TFormers]
LG-EX Big Powered More Photos Of Legends Series Transformers Zone Prototype
Matt says this news is the only reason he showed up. Big Powered pays tribute to Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber and Roadfire from Transformers Zone. It reuses the Sky Shadow, Misfire and Twin Twist molds, and the partners are the kid and the Zone bunny. One host estimates about 15,000 yen, or roughly $150. One host has no tie to Zone and passes. Others are still waiting on a Legends Liokaiser. [Source: TFormers]
New JD Red Knight Exclusive Leaked: Chinese Retailer Gets Retool Of Age Of Extinction Galvatron
At first one host took it for a custom. He wants it but fears the cost, and the crew notes it will be hard to get outside China without Taobao help. [Source: TFormers]
NYCC 2018 Flame Toys Bumblebee, Star Saber, Victory Leo, More Images
Flame Toys’ Bumblebee looks like an Action Master with a helicopter pack. The Megatron and IDW Optimus Prime are model kits, designed by Studio Trigger. The Kuro Kara Kuri Shattered Glass Drift is beautiful, but its price of several hundred dollars keeps the crew away. [Source: TFormers]
Transformers Siege Wave 2 Battle Masters Names Found in Walmart Listings
Wave 1 is Firedrive, Lionizer and Blowpipe. Wave 2 brings Caliburst, Smashdown and Pteraxadon. The crew insists Pteraxadon must be a pterodactyl that turns into an axe, or maybe a keytar for Soundwave. One host also points out the Micromaster Air Strike Patrol jets combine into a sword, and the purple one is surprisingly articulated. [Source: TFormers]
Toys R Us To Get The Weekend At Bernie’s Treatment As IP Holders Look To Cash In
The creditors canceled their auctions of the Toys R Us brand and may revive it themselves. One host says nothing could open in time for this holiday season and suggests an online store plus small mall shops. Another hopes former employees get first chance at jobs, and the crew notes their severance fell far short. [Source: TFormers]
What’s on TFormers
TFormers has an unboxing of the Transformers Trading Card Game and a look at the Bumblebee movie boombox promotional set. A grayscale test shot of Studio Series Dropkick reveals a fully clear torso, which the crew wishes it had not seen.
What We Got This Week
Matt finally got Power of the Primes Novastar from Toy Dojo. He also found the G1 reissue Devastator gift set at Walmart, the only one on the shelf.
Don hit a Target and Walmart reset and found Legends Dragonstorm and the reissue Starscream, which he may keep boxed. He also got the regular Studio Series Bumblebee, Shadow Raider and the Soundwave set. He also finally bought Legends Leo Prime for about $45 shipped with an eBay coupon.
Chris got Studio Series Shadow Raider from Amazon. He loves the orange, the sculpt and the arm blaster, though the joints are stiff. He also got the Bumblebee Greatest Hits set for its Frenzy, Buzzsaw and Howlback. Parts popped off every one of them during transformation.
Diecast got the Transformers Trading Card Game from Hasbro, with an unboxing on RFC Reviews. He picked up a second small Bumblebee figure and transformed Unique Toys Challenger in half an hour without instructions.
