Siege Slamdance, G2 Sideswipe, Greenlight and Skywarp Revealed

New Siege toys surfaced on the Facebook group of In Demand Toys, a UK store. Slamdance is a redeco of the Flywheels mold, an idea Machtackle mocked up in Photoshop a while back. G2 Sideswipe is a straight repaint of Siege Sideswipe, without a new Derek Yaneeker face. One host loves the robot mode, and another notes a Toyhax roof sticker would fix the plain red canopy in car mode. Autobot Greenlight is also shown. Skywarp completes the seeker set, but the crew finds him gunmetal gray and heavy on battle damage. One host is tempted to give up on the Siege seekers entirely. [Source: Machtackle on Twitter]

Generations Selects Turtler: First Test Shot of Seacon Leader Snaptrap

Photos, probably from Figure King, show the Seacon leader in test shot form. One host thinks it looks better in turtle mode. Diecast expects a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive, which Hasbro Pulse would likely carry, as with Star Convoy. One theory is that Turtler is sold alone so fans can army-build the other Seacons without extra Turtlers. Brian is even more excited about Super Megatron, its first-ever toy. [Source: TFormers]

Cyberverse Ark Power Optimus Prime Official Images

The $50 Spark Armor Ark Power Optimus Prime looks like a Deluxe with a silly combined mode and a super-deformed Ark. The crew loves the Ark but expects it on clearance for $25 to $30 within months. [Source: TFormers]

Ectotron In-Hand Photos

Duron Land of TFYLP and Yellow Wolf Studios photographed an early, unpackaged Ectotron. The crew suspects such early samples are factory rejects or leaked stock. One host loves it more each time, and another preordered two at $40. A rumored Ghostbusters MP-10 is making the rounds again, tied to a white Optimus Prime arm on a comic cover. [Source: TFormers]

PX-C02 Kadmos: Planet X Star Saber, with Victory Leo Teased

Planet X showed color images of its unofficial Star Saber and teased Victory Leo. The crew calls it the bottom of the news barrel, though it looks good and more War for Cybertron style than Masterpiece. One host wants it to split down the middle like Wing Saber. [Source: TFormers]

Second Siege Stop Motion Video: Shockwave vs. Ultra Magnus

Rob says Hasbro Taiwan’s second short makes good use of both figures’ armor gimmicks, plus a moment worthy of a wrestling folding-chair spot. [Source: TFormers]

What We Got This Week

Diecast

Diecast picked up FansToys Roadking, their Motormaster, and says it is heavy, with the trailer packed into a compact backpack. He has not transformed it yet, but says it costs less than MP-44. He also found Siege Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime at Walmart. The vehicle mode feels like it was built from popsicle sticks and is hollow inside.

Jason

Jason got Iron Factory’s Legends-scale Tarn, part of a combiner team, and plans to finish the set. A small fix took care of the reported shoulder issues on his.

Rob

Rob had nothing in Transformers this week.

Matt

Matt got another Sixgun, his third.

Chris

Chris found Studio Series Scrapmetal on Walmart clearance for $14 because its box was crushed. It is chunky with an intuitive transformation, and he calls it great value at that price. He would love a green repaint as Robots in Disguise Grimlock.

Brian

Brian found the latest G1 reissue minibots at Walmart, and opened a second Bumblebee. He also got Warpath and another Gears on card. His holy grail is a 1985 McDonald’s Happy Meal Gears in red and blue, from the St. Louis test market. He plans to spend about five years collecting all 24 color variations.
