MP-46 Masterpiece Blackarachnia Official Images

The spider mode is out, and for the most part it is the robot mode folded into a ball. The crew calls it acceptable but expects more from a Deluxe-sized Masterpiece. One host will buy her anyway, since the robot mode has grown on him and she will stay in that mode. Another wants Tigatron and Transmetal Megatron next and is fine with third party for the rest. The crew expects Rattrap and Rhinox to finish the season one cast. By their count, Blackarachnia is MP-46 and Hound will be MP-47. Don suspects licensing is holding up Jazz, but another host doubts it after Masterpiece Bumblebee. [Source: TFormers]

Toy World TW-F09 Freedom Leader Unofficial Movie-Scale Cybertron Optimus Prime

Toy World’s first Movie Masterpiece-scale figure is the Bumblebee movie Optimus Prime. Alternate parts let it show either the Cybertron look or the Earth parts from the end of the movie. A Ravage peeks out in the background of one photo, which suggests a Soundwave is coming. One host says Toy World’s work since its designer left for Zeta Toys is far better. No price is known, and guesses run from $150 to $175. One host says he would break his rule and buy it at $150. [Source: TFormers]

TakaraTomy Siege October Releases: Powertrain, Highjump, Barricade and Thundercracker

Takara Tomy’s October Siege wave includes SG-33 Powertrain and Highjump and SG-34 Barricade. Brian mostly wants to show Barricade, and the crew loves the heavy lavender. One host still wishes Barricade had a unique head, but the colors are winning him over. One host spots Barricade holding a dark Battle Master in gun mode. [Source: TFormers]

Cyberverse Spark Armor Demolition Starscream and Bumblebee

The Spark Armor assortment includes Demolition Starscream and Bumblebee with a battleship called Ocean Storm. The crew loves the look of Bumblebee with the tanker attached. One host says the base figures already look better than the Warrior Class toys. Another compares the battleship’s gray and red to Man-O-War from the GoBots. [Source: TFormers]

FansToys Phoenix Rerun Sells Out

Diecast reports that FansToys released another run of the regular, non-metallic Phoenix. It sold out in about a day at roughly $219. Don notes that Siege Jetfire will cost about $85 by comparison. The crew suspects FansToys runs these in small batches. [Source: not found]

What We Got This Week

Don picked up the Battle Master Aimless and wishes the effect parts came as a weapons pack. He is still debating whether to keep Siege Laserbeak and Ravage. He also got Road Crane, Ocular Max’s TFCon exclusive, which is its Grapple mold in Hauler green. His original FansToys Phoenix came from a trade with James on Twitter.

Diecast got Generations Selects Red Swoop and Ricochet and finds Ricochet’s gold face paint a little sloppy. He thinks Ricochet should have come with a Battle Master, like Repugnus did. He also picked up the Battle Masters Aimless and Tarraxodon.

Matt got nothing this week.

Eric got a knockoff of Movie Masterpiece Optimus Prime in white and blue. He also got Studio Series Drift with the baby Dinobots and loves the tiny Triceratops.

Brian opened Siege Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime but has not transformed it yet. He likes the feel but finds it jarring next to his much bigger Cybertron original. Another host warns that the instructions do not show how the fist parts connect. Brian also got New Age’s Capoeira, their take on Ricochet, for about $25. It holds handstands and one-legged kicks, and its transformation is easier than Cosmos. He liked it so much that he ordered New Age’s Bumblebee too.
