SDCC 2019: War for Cybertron Reveals Including Astrotrain, Apeface, Spinister and Crosshairs
Screen Rant got the exclusive on new War for Cybertron figures, and the reveal does not say Siege. Leader Astrotrain looks great, though one host finds it too dark, and the scorch marks suggest re-entry. Voyager Apeface is a Headmaster, with the visor on the head figure and most of the gorilla head on the body. Deluxe Spinister has a fake cockpit on its leg to match the comic art, and the crew loves it. Deluxe Crosshairs is a redeco of the Ironhide and Ratchet mold with a new head. The crew hopes Hasbro finishes the trio with Pointblank and Sureshot. They expect to learn the new series name at SDCC. [Source: TFormers]
SDCC 2019: Ghostbusters Masterpiece Optimus Prime Early Presale on NTWRK
MP-10G Optimus Prime Ecto-35 Edition went on early sale through NTWRK at 8 p.m. Eastern. Brian watched the countdown video, kept hitting buy and saw it sell out by 8:01. He asked NTWRK to delete his account. Don, watching in the chat, was angry enough to swear on Twitter. One host thinks the drop was a publicity stunt aimed at people outside the fandom. Another says Hasbro Pulse has been great so far and just needs to hold up on SDCC day. [Source: TFormers]
SDCC 2019: BotBots Arcade Renegades and BotBots Con Crew Exclusives Revealed
The BotBots Con Crew is a 10-pack SDCC exclusive for $35, with convention gear like a backpack and a handheld game. The crew jokes that it has no deodorant or soap. The 16-pack Arcade Renegades set is $30 and may be an Amazon exclusive. [Source: TFormers]
Ten Years of Weekly RFC
This episode marks ten years since Radio Free Cybertron returned as a continuous weekly podcast. Brian credits JD Church, who messaged him asking to bring the show back. JD passed away in 2014, and the crew remembers him fondly. Brian recommends the older episodes with JD for anyone who never heard him.

What We Got This Week
Brian picked up the Walmart G1 reissue Swerve to handle, plus a small $7 diecast Optimus Prime vehicle. He got Generations Stormcloud, the Powerglide repaint, and Siege Greenlight with Dazzlestrike. He bought a $10 knockoff Masterpiece Ratbat as a stand-in until he gets the official Soundblaster. He also got Classic Pretender Jazz and the OTFCC Megazarak he once sold. From the same seller, he got a sealed Primal Prime, which he has sold and bought back before. The seller added a Happy Meal Armada Megatron, which he calls far beyond other Happy Meal toys. Matt also talked him into Magic Square’s Legends-scale Battle Convoy, about $50.
Diecast got Black Mamba’s upscaled Studio Series Sideswipe knockoff and Siege Greenlight. He picked up two more Combiner Wars-sized Devastators, one for Matt and one for Brian. His favorite pickup is a free, more cartoon-accurate head for his Transform Element Optimus Prime, now his favorite Prime. He is still debating cancelling his $400 MP-44.
John finally opened the first Masterpiece Hot Rod and likes him more than the internet does. He also opened Masterpiece Dinobot and does not like it, because Masterpiece Megatron is better at everything. He saw Siege Springer at Target, but it would not sell before its street date.
Matt got nothing at all.
Jason had nothing this week.
Chris likes Siege Springer. The transformation needs precise angles, and the shin panels come apart when posing. He thinks the shoulders could become a Cyberverse Drift later. The yellow battle damage looks like worn paint and is easy to cover with two coats. He calls the head sculpt the best Springer head in Generations. Siege Greenlight reminds him he prefers the Moonracer and Nova Storm mold over Chromia’s. Her ball-joint shoulders are loose, she has no guns, and her new forearms drop the wrist hinge.
