Official Images of Super7 G1 ReAction Transformers

Brian is the only host excited about these. In his Twitter poll, 37% kind of hate them, while 12% love them. The crew finds Starscream’s face terrible and Soundwave’s flat, though Bumblebee and Jazz look fine. At $17.99 each, the crew calls them overpriced. Chris McFeely pointed out that Soundwave is based on a fan-made model sheet with incorrect lower legs. [Source: TFormers]

Super7 Def Jam Soundwave ReAction on NTWRK

A Def Jam deco of the Soundwave ReAction figure is sold through the NTWRK app. One host’s order kept failing, and Don never got past the main screen trying to buy an earlier release. [Source: TFormers]

Transformers TCG Wave One Energon Edition

The $200 set includes 30 Wave 1 booster packs and six heavy-duty character cards with new, credited art. It adds battle cards, 18 Energon dice and storage boxes. Chat notes it brings back the Cliffjumper and Slipstream cards that were San Diego Comic-Con exclusives. Diecast wants one, and the crew calls it a display piece even for non-players. It goes on sale December 2 at noon Pacific. [Source: TFormers]

FEXT Transform and Display Out Diorama Sets

Big Bad Toy Store has preorders on FEXT’s dioramas, one inside an Ark-like ship and one outside. Brian likes them for photos, while another host thinks they are too small for reviews. At about $69 each, one host finds them cheaper than Kotobukiya’s mechanical chain bases for the area they cover. [Source: TFormers]

Earthrise Optimus Prime Leaked Photos Reveal Deco Changes

New in-hand photos show Earthrise Optimus Prime’s hands now painted blue. Brian loves it, though Eric points out the legs run slightly long. Chris thinks the blue hands are paint, since the finish differs from the blue plastic. One host says the blue eyes keep him on the 35th anniversary Optimus Prime instead. Chris also complains that Walmart.com keeps pushing back cel-shaded Optimus Prime orders, which matters because of its faceplate variants. [Source: TFormers]

Transformers VR Battle Arena Arcade Game

Minority Media’s VR arcade game lets players fight as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and Soundwave, using the evergreen character models. Brian hopes a local fun park gets it. [Source: TFormers]

G-Shock Nemesis Prime Watch Set

One host reports that Takara Tomy Mall opens preorders on November 18 for a Nemesis Prime version of the G-Shock Optimus Prime watch set. It costs about $330 and should ship in early December. Brian wants the original but will not pay that much. [Source: G-Central]

Transform Element MM001 Blackarachnia In Hand

This unofficial Beast Wars Blackarachnia does little for the crew. It looks off in scale beside a Beast Wars Silverbolt, and one host says it looks like a ReAction figure. [Source: TFormers]

Bump of Chicken x Transformers Sonicblue Bumble

Japanese band Bump of Chicken’s member Chama is a big Transformers fan, and the band worked with Takara Tomy on a limited redeco. It sells for 4,000 yen at concerts and by mail order in Japan, and already fetches about $140 on eBay. Brian wants an official RFC Transformer next. [Source: TFormers]

Monogram G1 Transformers Bag Clips

G1 Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave and Bumblebee bag clips are turning up at Dollar Tree for $1 each. One host cares about them even less than the ReAction figures. [Source: TFormers]

Collection Tracking and Retailer Restocks

A Big Bad Toy Store restock of Transformers United, Unite Warriors and Takara Fall of Cybertron sets left Brian unsure what he already owns. He plans to build a Google Sheets checklist scraped from TFU.info, with permission. BotBots Series 4 has shown up at US retail, and Ollie’s has Premier Edition Leader Optimus Prime for $19.99.

What We Got This Week

John reclaimed much of his Armada and Beast Wars Second collections from his parents’ house, in pristine boxes. He also found a 1984 Tonka catalog from the first year of GoBots, with a rare two-part salesman’s order form. It lists wholesale prices of $2.35 for regular GoBots, $5.95 for Super GoBots, $11.95 for Zod and $15.95 for the Command Center. He also got a 1993 Kenner Toy Fair catalog.

Brian re-bought Beast Wars Metals Ravage, a toy he once owned twice. Cleaning his basement, he found his Soundblaster Encore box in great shape and put the figures back in it.

Rob got an extra Cog and Six Gun from Matt, plus Powerdasher Zetar, which has better tolerances than Brunt. Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast sent him a Siege 2 booster box with the Trypticon pack, which he will unbox for TFormers.

Diecast got a Voyager-size knockoff of Combiner Wars Leader Megatron, with hilarious box text. He also ordered Siege Ratchet online. Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast sent him the Siege 2 booster box too. He opened two packs on air and pulled Sky-Tread, Raider Tailwind, Private Greenlight and Raider Brunt.
