HasLab Star Saber and Victory Leo
Brian predicted the Fan First Friday stream would be all about the HasLab and about 23 minutes long, and he was close. The price is about $190, a hair more than a Titan Class toy, and funding needs 11,000 backers. It stood at about 5,300 when the crew recorded. The presentation showed Saber’s head on an internal turret and a Brainmaster about half the size of a Titan Master. The crew counts this as the fifth Star Saber, sized between the Masterpiece and Robot Masters versions. Guesses for the final count run from 15,000 to 25,000. For future HasLabs, the crew pitches Tidal Wave, a Powermaster Optimus, Dinoking and a Turbomasters wave. [Source: RFC News Desk]
Transformers Tuesday: Studio Series NEST Jeep Bumblebee
The Bumblebee movie Jeep body comes in NEST colors as Studio Series #77. Anthony said on Twitter that it was planned as a Universal Studios exclusive. The box mock-up misspells the line, and the crew hopes the typo ships. [Source: TFRadio.net]
Officially Revealed: Kingdom Road Rage
Road Rage is a Target exclusive. The crew expects an early RedCard preorder window, like Kingdom T-Rex, before general release. One host recommends RedCard and getting vaccinated. [Source: TFRadio.net]
Threezero MDLX Articulated Bumblebee
Threezero’s $60 MDLX Bumblebee is a fair price for Threezero, but the crew finds the figure off model. One host thinks it looks more like Prime Cliffjumper. [Source: Big Bad Toy Store]
The G1 Cartoon Streams on Hasbro Pulse’s YouTube Channel
Season 1 of the G1 cartoon is now on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel. The crew picks favorite episodes and notes that Japanese series may follow. Don adds that the episode titles fans know came from the Family Home Entertainment tapes. [Source: Kotaku]
What We Got This Week
Don got the movie Arcee set at Ollie’s for $10. A GameStop sale, reward points and a box-damage discount got him Studio Series Grindor for about $30. He has heard it has better quality control than Blackout.
Rob got Studio Series 86 Slag through the GameStop deal Diecast posted. Grimlock is more fun to handle, but Slag is an enormous, ratcheting Dinobot that looks great in both modes. The animation-accurate fake mouth on the chest bugs him a little.
Brian also got Studio Series 86 Slag and calls it gorgeous. He picked up Cloud Road Buster in Energon Ironhide colors, Transformers Stuck on Stories from Ollie’s and a 16-month Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures calendar from Dollar Tree. Two Titans Return Legends Gnaw figures arrived from China in accurate packaging, though the crew suspects they may be knockoffs. Shattered Glass Blurr stays boxed. A Micron Legend Shockwave came from Mandarake as a junk item, so he will display it loose. He also got a giant Fortress Maximus head, which he will keep sealed.
