Transformers x Adidas Optimus Prime and Megatron running shoes lead a thin news week, and the crew debates light-up sneakers. Generations Selects Artfire hits GameStop, and the Transformers Collaborative Jurassic Park set is back on Amazon.
The Transformers: Devastation soundtrack arrives on streaming services. Brian kicks off this year’s Elf on a Shellformer toy drive, and the haul includes a long-sought third-party Astrotrain.
Elf on a Shellformer
Brian opens the show by launching Elf on a Shellformer, RFC’s yearly holiday toy drive. Listeners buy shelfwarming or clearance Transformers and drop them in a donation box for kids in need. Brian points out that he was a poor kid himself, and his adopted children went without before foster care. Photos tagged Elf on a Shellformer get reshared on social media. Listeners without a local drop-off can use the Amazon wish list at tfradio.net/elf, and Brian delivers those toys locally.

Selects Artfire Hitting GameStop
Generations Selects Artfire is hitting GameStop. One host has checked his local GameStop for days with no luck, and it shows sold out online. A three-star review on the listing puzzles the crew, since they consider the Inferno mold a good one. Rob’s preorder has already arrived. [Source: GameStop]
Transformers Jurassic Park Collaboration Back on Amazon
The Transformers Collaborative Jurassic Park set, Tyrannocon Rex with Autobot JP93, is back on Amazon after selling out. Brian calls it beautiful in the box. The crew agrees some collaborations are best left sealed, with Ectotron the exception that opens and repacks easily. Gigawatt also gets a mention as a good one to open. [Source: Amazon]
Transformers x Adidas Optimus Prime and Megatron Running Shoes Revealed
Adidas revealed Optimus Prime and Megatron running shoes with an LED light panel above the tongue and Transformers-faced insoles. Brian doesn’t hate them, though he liked the Nerf collaboration shoes better. One host would pick the black Megatron pair over the Autobot one, a rare choice for him. One host wants cheap light-up soles like his kids wear, while another prefers a light that switches off. The shoes appear limited to China for now. Chat also turns up a $1,100 Nike Transformers Bumblebee shoe auction and Autobot Crocs on Taobao. [Source: TFW2005]
Transformers: Devastation Soundtrack Now Available for Streaming and Digital Download
The Transformers: Devastation soundtrack by Vince DiCola is now on Spotify and sells for $9.49 on Amazon Music. Brian admits he would not normally cover it, and the Amazon listing has a lone one-star review. One host played only a few levels of the game, while another enjoyed it. The Nova Prime track runs just 26 seconds, about as long as Nova Prime appears in the game. The crew calls Devastation a great half a game. [Source: Allspark]
NBK King of the Sniper Transforming Rifle
A host flags a transforming sniper rifle robot spotted on Taobao. It sells as the NBK King of the Sniper, in SR01 and SR02 colorways, for about $94. The white and blue version gives one host a Fortress Maximus vibe, and he ordered it. Another host finds it awkward unless posed well. [Source: not found]
What We Got This Week
Rob got Kingdom Shadow Panther and Kingdom Waspinator after a stock alert from Chris. Waspinator is his least favorite of the three deluxe Waspinators, and bug legs kept falling off during transformation. He finally opened Studio Series 86 Gnaw. It scales better than the Titans Return Legends version, but its legs sit too far back, and he wants stronger elbows. The transformation surprised him. His GameStop Artfire arrived too. It looks good and has no peg problems, though the white-painted feet over red plastic bug him.
Don found another Sweep, since Scourge needs at least two. His big find is a one-off third-party G1-style Astrotrain he has wanted for years, bought from a seller on the TFW2005 forums. It once sold for $250 to $300, and he paid substantially less. It comes with a coal tender car, a Skyspy and extra weapons.
Diecast got Super7’s Christmas ReAction figure, preordered from Big Bad Toy Store. He loves the metallic paint, the candy cane gun and the Christmas hat. He hopes Super7 makes one every year, like the Hallmark ornaments he collects.
Brian picked up a $5.99 4K Blu-ray of Transformers: The Last Knight. He found his first Sweep at Walmart, with a second shipping from Hasbro Pulse and a third on Amazon preorder. He also found two more Gnaws. From a Japanese shop restock, he landed a mint-in-box Headmaster Junior Cab, known as Hosehead in the US. His YouTube album art pick is the Jurassic Park collaboration. Many fans dislike the figures out of the box, but Brian is keeping his sealed. He doubts the new Autobot JP93 mold will be reused.
