Netflix sets March 25 for Transformers: BotBots, the franchise’s first comedy series, and the crew wishes the episodes were shorter. A GameStop listing for Project Trooper points to a G.I. Joe collaboration, and breaking news reveals a H.I.S.S. Tank Megatron with Baroness.

Legacy Galvatron drops its battle damage, and Micro Machines Transformers arrive from Jazwares. Matt lands Selects Black Zarak, and Chris gets Coronation Starscream for free.

Legacy Galvatron Loses Its Battle Damage

Hasbro published Transformers Tuesday stock photos of Legacy Galvatron and Laser Optimus Prime. Galvatron no longer has battle damage, apparently in response to fan feedback, and the stickers are back. Matt will buy it again. The crew mostly leaves stickers off their toys anyway, and talk turns to Toyhax labels as a better option. [Source: not found]

Netflix and Hasbro’s eOne Announce Transformers: BotBots Series

Transformers: BotBots premieres March 25 on Netflix with ten 22-minute episodes, billed as the franchise’s first comedy series. Brian reads the press release and thinks it overshares the plot. Chris says it sounds exactly like what he expected a BotBots cartoon to be. The crew would rather have twenty 11-minute episodes. Don suspects Hasbro is pushing it hard because Rise of the Beasts is delayed. Brian notes it is aimed at younger kids, and the toy line has largely moved on. [Source: Seibertron]

Project Trooper Points to a G.I. Joe Collaboration

A GameStop listing for Project Trooper, the next Transformers Collaborative item at $89.99, surfaced through Nemesis Slime. JT Prime says it is a G.I. Joe crossover. Brian is thrilled, and Matt begs for M.A.S.K. next. Late in the show, JT Prime confirms in Discord that it is a Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank with a 3.75-inch Baroness. He adds there is alternate tooling for a Shockwave version. Brian hopes it blends in with his army of H.I.S.S. Tanks. [Source: not found]

Micro Machines Transformers from Jazwares

Jazwares has picked up the Micro Machines license, and its Transformers line looks mostly movie-themed. It starts with a Bumblebee playset that includes a tiny Barricade. Brian has only bought the blind packs and does not plan to collect more. [Source: not found]

What We Got This Week

Diecast got a R.E.D. figure from Hasbro Pulse and says it will probably be his last. It feels wobbly and cheap for $23, with an odd thigh gap and an ab crunch that will not hold. He also got Fans Hobby Master Builder, its Armada Megatron homage, which Brian dislikes on sight. His last Fans Toys G2 Stunticon, Motormaster, arrived, and he will display the team in robot mode. He also got the first piece of Ocular Max’s Defensor, their First Aid.

Don ordered from Hasbro Pulse when Generations Selects Galvatron came back in stock. He got Legacy Diaclone Lift Ticket for $2 less than elsewhere, Shattered Glass Starscream, and a second Selects Galvatron as a spare.

Matt got Generations Selects Black Zarak. He loves the head sculpt and the aquamarine highlights. He worries about how much swirly gold plastic it has, including the crotch piece.

Chris got Studio Series 86 Coronation Starscream from Amazon. The throne is solid, but the cape sits a little low, and he gets a spare set of null rays. Amazon shipped it in an unpadded envelope, so they refunded him and let him keep it.
