2025 Generations Listings Reveal Titan Class Star Convoy and Commander Silverbolt

New 2025 Generations listings surfaced from JT Prime. Commander Class G1 Silverbolt suggests future combiners will follow the Stunticons model. Age of the Primes also lists a Titan Class Star Convoy. Brian is thrilled, while Chris is less enthusiastic. One host notes Star Saber stands 40 to 45 meters tall in the Battlestars manga, so Titan Class fits. The crew hopes a Hot Rodimus partner comes along. Other listings include Generations Selects G2 Dinobots, a Retro Inspired deluxe Seaspray and Brawn, Target Studio Series Voyager Optimus Prime and Megatron variants, and Transformers: Devastation deluxes Sideswipe and Wheeljack. Don would rather see G2 Dinobots in leader molds than another Killing Jar repaint. [Source: TFW2005]

Wonder Festival Shanghai Brings Blokees Action Edition Megatron and a Throne

Blokees showed Action Edition Megatron, a new, more complex segment that sits on a tiny Starscream coronation throne. Classic Class Transformers One figures and G1 Wheeljack round out the reveal. One host is suddenly interested in Blokees after seeing their clear Sharkticon part containers. [Source: TFW2005]

Flame Toys Shows Furai Model G1 Figures and a Kuro Kara Kuri IDW Ultra Magnus

Flame Toys brought Furai Model G1 Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave and Hound, plus a Jet Power Armor accessory. The IDW Ultra Magnus lands in the Kuro Kara Kuri line, so it is a roughly $400 toy rather than an affordable model kit. Dai Atlas appeared as an unpainted prototype. [Source: TFW2005]

Auldey Reveals G1 and Transformers One Figures

Auldey showed large, seven-inch G1 and Transformers One figures with two points of articulation. Its Alpha Action blind box line adds the poseability the bigger figures lack. Brian marvels that this flood of product would have blown his mind 25 years ago. [Source: TFW2005]

Yolopark Prototypes an AMK Pro Tarn

Yolopark is prototyping IDW Tarn for AMK Pro. The crew likes the removable mask but feels it copies the Generations toy’s proportions, making it too small and thin. [Source: TFW2005]

Rathalos Prime Shows Its True Colors at Tokyo Game Show

New Tokyo Game Show photos show the Monster Hunter crossover in a more vivid red. Rob explains the Rathalos dragon becomes Optimus Prime wearing in-game Rathalos armor, built on Airazor engineering. The figure includes a Charge Blade, a sword and shield that transforms into a giant axe. Rob calls it the best crossover yet, and a recolor as Rathian looks likely. Brian knows nothing of Monster Hunter but still finds it cool. One host balks at a price starting around $50. [Source: TFW2005]

Takara Tomy Makes a Clear Karakuri Statue Optimus Prime

Takara Tomy made a clear plastic Karakuri Statue Optimus Prime to show off its transformation mechanism. Sadly, the dense layers of clear plastic still hide most of the internals. [Source: TFW2005]

Super7 Deluxe VHS Optimus Prime Heads to Macy’s

Super7’s VHS-boxed Optimus Prime is a Macy’s exclusive. It comes with only the rifle, and photos appear to show the original, more limited elbows. The crew wonders who still has a Macy’s nearby. [Source: TFW2005]

Retro G1 Bombshell and Ramhorn Show Up In Hand

In-hand photos show the Retro G1 reissues of Bombshell and Ramhorn, which briefly appeared on Walmart. Bombshell’s gray deco bothers the crew. The crew debates matching animation colors that vary from cel to cel and master to master. [Source: TFW2005]

Fans Hobby Shows a Color Test Shot of Tsunami

Fans Hobby showed its unlicensed take on Armada Tidal Wave, called Tsunami. One host wants to see it in hand first, hoping for a clean battleship-to-robot transformation the Titan Class toy lacked. Fans Hobby’s direct price also starts well below the Titan Class Tidal Wave. [Source: TFW2005]

Elf on a Shelfwarmer

Brian reminds listeners to buy a shelfwarming toy and drop it in a donation box this holiday season. A landing page with drop-box resources is coming to tfradio.net, and the RFC wishlist sits at tfradio.net/elf.

Don on Transformers One

Don implores everyone to see Transformers One on the big screen before it leaves theaters. He praises the environments, the character arcs for Orion Pax and D-16, the fight choreography and the voice work. Bumblebee was less annoying than he feared. He calls it a coherent origin story built from 40 years of lore. Another host loves the movie but believes it is a box office flop.

What We Got This Week

Diecast

Diecast picked up the first Fans Toys Constructicon, which feels solid with a mostly die-cast heel. He also got Dr. Wu mini figures, including Cyclonus and Bumblebee, and Ramjet and Cosmos. His Yolopark Transformers One figures include cogless and cogged Orion Pax. He added the Amazon Ruckus and Bludgeon two-pack and a leader-class Soundwave cassette set with a darker blue Rumble and Ravage. A knockoff Valkyrie sold in faithful Jetfire packaging came with clear armor and a stand. He closed with Unique Toys’ versions of Skids and Mudflap.

Don

Don got Flame and Emirate Xaaron from Hasbro Pulse. He also landed the Walmart Retro G1 animation-colored Optimus Prime, which is too beautiful in the box to open. Finally, he bought Toy World’s orange Constructor set from a UK collector. That finishes his Devastator collection, apart from next year’s Studio Series release.

John

John opened Steeljaw and joins the crowd baffled by a $10 price on such a small figure. He likes the Legacy Armada Optimus Prime repainted as Motormaster. He also enjoys the Galvatron repaint of Legacy Armada Megatron, though it needs more paint.

Matt

Matt got the leader-class Buzzsaw set, finally owning a gold Buzzsaw alongside Laserbeak, Frenzy and Ravage. He also got the Ruckus and Bludgeon two-pack. Bludgeon’s tank transformation is unpleasant, but Ruckus surprised him by standing well taller than Beachcomber.

Rob

Rob found the third English Transformers vs. G.I. Joe trade paperback for $4 while browsing Suruga-ya.

Chris

Chris got a Target two-pack on sale for about $30 shipped, planning to build one ideal Ratchet from parts. He also received Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime early. His Pulse leader-class Buzzsaw set reuses Kingdom Soundwave box art, which he found entertaining.

Brian

Brian got Flame and Emirate Xaaron and the 40th anniversary Retro Optimus Prime. He also imported a Missing Link Optimus Prime first sold at Transformers Expo in Japan.
