Studio Series 86 Galvatron and Apelinq Hit U.S. Targets
Studio Series 86 Galvatron and its wavemate, Studio Series Rise of the Beasts Apelinq, are turning up at U.S. Targets. Reports came from Maryland and from the Franklin area south of Nashville. One host called the Galvatron redeco far more thorough than expected. Still, the crew already owns plenty of that Galvatron mold, and the consensus was to wait for clearance. [Source: TFW2005]
Age of the Primes Titans Return Trypticon Redeco Revealed
Generations Selects is bringing back Titans Return Trypticon in brighter, cartoon-inspired colors for Age of the Primes. Even hosts who never loved the original mold admitted the new deco looks gorgeous. One host recalled a New York Comic Con chat about Titan recolors that never mentioned Trypticon. The crew traded notes on the original’s exploding hips and hoped this run avoids them. As a Generations Selects release, it should have a smaller production run than the overproduced original. MP-60 Ginrai and MPG-09 Super Ginrai Shown In Hand
In-hand photos of MP-60 Ginrai and MPG-09 Super Ginrai show a figure about the same height as Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime. At $269 to $289, the crew felt that size comes with a full masterpiece price. Reviewer Wotafa ranked MP-60 at 19 in his 2024 top 25, while Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime landed at 8. Rob pointed out the leg stumps under the torso are fake, molded on to match the animation. The included booklet shows a concept model with every kind of Master, which one host nominated for a Missing Link toy. [Source: TFW2005] [Source: TFW2005]
Blokees Galaxy Version Wave 6 Lineup Revealed
Photos show the full Blokees Galaxy Version Wave 6 lineup. It includes IDW versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron, plus Kickback, Swoop and Wheeljack. One host has already asked in the Discord for a spare IDW Autobot Megatron. One host admired how the Grimlock dinosaur and robot builds share close to half their parts. Some found Wheeljack’s chest over-detailed, and the chat pointed out he is based on Transformers One. [Source: TFW2005]
Bingo Sports Optimus Prime Production Sample Loses Its Paint
A production sample of the Bingo Sports Optimus Prime collaboration shows far less paint than the solicitation photos. The figure retools the movie Crosswise mold, and the car mode keeps its detailed deco. The robot mode, however, lost most of its silver and gray paint. Diecast raised his hand as one fan who only wants it for the car mode. The crew noted Big Bad Toy Store orders can still be canceled. [Source: TFW2005]
Age of the Primes Megatronus the Fallen Shown In Hand
New in-hand photos show Age of the Primes Megatronus the Fallen with and without its flame effect parts. It stands taller and wider than both Studio Series 86 Galvatron and Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime. The crew wondered what that means for a future Studio Series 86 Megatron, since the mold reportedly is not a pre-tool. The tank turret can rotate and tilt up in vehicle mode. One host called it a likely toy-of-the-year pick for 2025. [Source: TFW2005]
Age of the Primes Silverbolt Stock Images Released
New stock images give the first clear look at Age of the Primes Silverbolt, part 3 of 5 in the Superion set. The details look sharper than the earlier soft renders, and the crew praised the box design. Don felt Silverbolt alone doesn’t hit as hard as Age of the Primes Motormaster did. His description of the extra combiner parts as a “battle embankment” became the episode title. [Source: TFW2005]
W-Resources M-01 Iron Fortress Shown In Hand
W-Resources’ M-01 Iron Fortress is a Fall of Cybertron-style Metroplex standing nearly four feet tall in robot mode. It costs about $1,100, though Show-Z Store is offering free shipping. Nobody on the panel plans to buy one, and a Discord member summed it up: this toy is furniture. Don still enjoys that the hobby can surprise him with something this big. [Source: Tformers]
