The audio for this January 7, 2000 Radio Free Cybertron is lost. No copy survives in the RFC archive, and the original RealAudio files are gone. What does survive is the show’s original web page from 2000. According to that page, the episode featured an interview with Marvel Prime, Karl Volmer, the man behind the fan fiction group Marvel Universe: Transformed. It also included a review of Beast Machines Cheetor. News, trivia and the ATT Buzz rounded out the show, which ran 19 minutes and 56 seconds.
From the Original Show Page
The page billed the episode as an interview with Marvel Prime and a review of Beast Machines Cheetor, with scans. It promised news, trivia, the ATT Buzz “and the manic ravings that you’ve come to expect from us.” The show streamed in RealPlayer at 28.8 quality, with a separate download link for listening later.
Interview: Marvel Prime
Marvel Prime is Karl Volmer, who led Marvel Universe: Transformed, a Transformers fan fiction group. The show page linked to the group’s site.
Beast Machines Cheetor Scans
The Cheetor review came with a page of two toy scans, 220K combined. The scans did not survive.
Trivia
This week’s trivia clip came from “Roll for It.” Listeners who recognized it were asked to email Brian. The page also credited last week’s trivia winners: ShadowWing, cdpf, Goldimus Prime, Junk Man and Sable Phoenix.
The show page linked to Marvel Universe: Transformed! and the RFC Link Exchange.
