Rob Cypher Returns to ATT

Notorious troll Rob Cypher has returned to alt.toys.transformers. John DeLuna says the newsgroup is in such a trance of mediocrity that it didn’t even bat an eye. He jokes that Cypher did him a favor by giving him an excuse to skip reading for a few days. [Source: alt.toys.transformers]

Silverbolt Reposts His Jack Angel Interview

Silverbolt reposted his interview with Jack Angel, voice of G1 characters including Astrotrain, Ramjet, Smokescreen and Ultra Magnus. John calls it fun, though Angel joins the many voice actors who see Transformers as just another job. John says fans are often let down by that. He appreciates the actors at BotCon who value their fans. [Source: alt.toys.transformers]

BotCon Wreckers War Journals Keep Getting Better

The war journals for the BotCon Wreckers comic are getting better every week. John likes getting the background out of the way before the comic arrives. Primal Prime is already one of his favorite characters for the enigma the journals are building around him. [Source: not found]

ATT Buzz

John says the newsgroup and fandom are slow until BotCon, with few new toys. The highlight is the “I Miss Beast Wars” thread, full of favorite quotes that show how memorable the writing was. John admits he doesn’t miss Beast Wars. He loved it but forgot about it once it left the air. He’d like to see it on DVD and hasn’t picked up the G1 DVDs because of the pressing flub.

eBay Bargains

John’s mock eBay ad pitches Act 2 G1 PVCs at $10 apiece and reissued He-Man figures as a cure for every bad childhood memory.

Ask the Computer

Victor asks about rumored BotCon exclusives: a white Ravage as Tikatron, a green Rampage, a red Gekobot and a blue Megatron. The Computer guesses the blue Megatron is probably real and that Spooky has confirmed Tikatron. Galvatron writes in to threaten the Computer. Joel Eubanks learns there are no plans for his asked-about comic, and the Computer reads a spam letter before giving up.
