Color photos show Masterpiece Tracks with Raoul, and Platinum Edition Blitzwing and Astrotrain arrive in surprising colors.

Australian Toy Fair Report

Griffin of Ausformers attended the event and reported the details. They include a Platinum Edition Dinobots multipack, a retooled Masterpiece Starscream and Leader Class Starscream in wave 4. He also lists an unrevealed MP-26 and two more Masterpiece sports cars for October and November, plus another mention of a Trypticon reissue. One host guesses MP-26 is Ironhide, with the sports cars being Road Rage and possibly a Wheeljack redeco. [Source: Ausformers]

Transformers Humble Bundle 2

For as little as $1, buyers get More Than Meets the Eye volumes 1 to 6 plus issues 34 to 37. Higher tiers add Robots in Disguise volumes 1 to 6 and both Dark Cybertron volumes. The comics are DRM-free and proceeds go to the Hasbro Children’s Fund. The crew says everyone should spend at least the dollar. [Source: not found]

Color Photos of Masterpiece MP-25 Tracks

Tracks comes with Raoul, a blaster and a flight stand. One host is thrilled to see Raoul, and Exvee argues unpainted faces beat badly painted ones at that scale. The extras push the price a little higher. [Source: not found]

Platinum Edition Blitzwing and Astrotrain Revealed

Blitzwing comes in colors close to Thrust’s, and Astrotrain adds orange that recalls Ramjet. The box art matches, so these are not test shots. One host likes the variety, but others would rather have classic colors. [Source: TFormers]

Official Photos of Combiner Wars Cyclonus, Hot Spot, Viper, Groove and Warpath

Production-color photos show Cyclonus looking great. Hot Spot is mistransformed with his face showing in vehicle mode. App art reveals Galvatronus, and Hasbro Greece’s write-up says Cyclonus has mind-control powers. One host reads that as Cyclonus taking over any limbs he needs, which the crew calls a clever workaround. [Source: not found]

Combiner Wars Wave 2 Comics Include Extended Bios

Bios for Air Raid, Dead End, Breakdown and Offroad are printed in the pack-in comics. One host notes that fans who bought the first wave 1 release will miss out unless they rebuy. [Source: not found]

Third-Party News

MakeToys Dystopia: A Metrotitan Utopia

MakeToys will sell Dystopia, a Metrotitan recolor of Utopia, through its own web store on March 10. The crew expects a price of at least $450. They tease Brian, the show’s biggest Metrotitan fan, who wants it but would like to stay married. MakeToys also shows line art of Re:Master RM-03 Hellfire, its not-Inferno. [Source: not found]

Around TFormers

A fan found a way to turn Combiner Wars Huffer into a chest plate for Optimus Prime or Menasor. One host says it gives a Powermaster Optimus Prime look. Exvee reviewed More Than Meets the Eye #38, The Transformers #38 and Generations Motormaster. Rob reviewed The Complete AllSpark Almanac and gives it about a 9 out of 10.

RFC at Joelanta and a Twitter Giveaway

Brian, Diecast and Rob Springer will be at Joelanta next week. They will host a Transformers panel with artist Dusty Griffin, covering how to collect Transformers. RFC is also giving away a Combiner Wars Huffer: follow TF Radio on Twitter and retweet the daily contest tweet by March 9.

This Week in History

The Energon episode “Megatron Resurrected” premiered in the US. The crew remembers how much hope Energon started with and how fast it fell apart. One host recalls Cartoon Network dumping episodes into weekend marathons. That leads to worries about Robots in Disguise’s early-morning time slot.

Remembering Leonard Nimoy

Leonard Nimoy, voice of Galvatron in The Transformers: The Movie and Sentinel Prime in Dark of the Moon, passed away this week. Brian says Nimoy gave Galvatron a presence and gravitas no other version has had. As a lifelong Star Trek fan, Brian says Nimoy’s career means a lot to him.

What We Got This Week

Exvee got Combiner Wars Legends Blackjack and calls it his favorite Generations Legends figure yet. He likes its smooth transformation and will buy the Rodimus redeco. He thinks a simple 3D-printed adapter could give Rodimus his spoiler.

Don got the Japanese Legends Arcee, which he will discuss on RFC Extra, and Generations Motormaster.
