Transformers Tuesday Stream Set for January 31

Hasbro Pulse announced a Transformers Tuesday stream for January 31, likely filling the Toy Fair slot. Exvee hopes for official reveals of Animated Prowl and a name for the second Deluxe Junkion. He recommends BWTF’s Ben Yee and TFU.info for live coverage. [Source: Hasbro Pulse on Twitter]

Rise of the Beasts Studio Series Voyager Cheetor First Look

Studio Series Cheetor debuted for Transformers Tuesday in a brown the crew compares to Raw Chicken Dinobot. One host explains that the mainline toys used early movie models because they were meant to come out first. He says that’s why mainline Airazor and Cheetor look like their Kingdom versions. Another finds the beasts well made but not new. One host would rather buy the colorful mainline deluxes than the movie-accurate Studio Series. [Source: Transformers on Facebook]

Legacy Evolution and EarthSpark Waves Reach Target

Legacy Evolution Core Class Dinobots and Sound Blaster, the Legacy Evolution Deluxes and EarthSpark’s Tacticons are all turning up at Target. Exvee struck out on his own hunt for Tarn, though Don’s Hasbro Pulse order has been charged. [Source: not found]

Early Toei Models of The Transformers: The Movie Cast Up for Sale

Pre-revision character models drawn by Toei Animation for The Transformers: The Movie are on eBay. Diecast was the high bidder on Unicron until someone outbid him. Kup and Wheelie have no bids yet. One host notes the early colors echo some odd schemes in Marvel’s Transformers Universe. [Source: TFW2005 boards]

Rise of the Beasts Coming in 3D

Rise of the Beasts will get 3D showings, at least in France. The crew finds 3D rarely adds much, apart from a few standout shots like the Dark of the Moon wingsuit scene. [Source: Le Film Français on Twitter]

What We Got This Week

Diecast

Diecast got the life-size Last Knight Optimus Prime light-up sword for about $100 at TFSource. He also got Magic Square’s Cyclonus in Hot Rod colors and a loose X-Transbots Kup. All three Magic Square Constructicons arrived, along with X-Transbots’ Quintesson Prosecutor and a set of small diecast Devastator cube figures. He also got an EarthSpark Wheeljack one-step changer that converts when knocked over.

Don

Don got Core Class Sludge from Hasbro Pulse. He also got a helicopter landing ship foot for a Toy Easy warship combiner that stands about 10 inches tall. His DX9 Carry metallic reissue arrived with bent hinge pins in the backpack, and he has asked the store for an exchange.

Rob

Rob’s pickups this week were not Transformers.

Matt

Matt had nothing this week.

Exvee

Exvee’s birthday brought Super7 Ultimates Banzai-Tron from Diecast and a surprise Legacy Nightprowler from Blade Raider. Paladin sent Legacy Hot Shot. He also received Legacy Breakdown and a replacement Dead End, both unopened. On clearance he found an unyellowed Cyberverse Deluxe Arcee for $6.
