Changing Gears

Legacy United Tidal Wave sells out on Hasbro Pulse in minutes, and JT Prime says don’t wait for a discount. Gears stock photos and three collaborative codenames leak. Plus MPG-07 Ginoh and MP-58 Hoist.

Listen · RFC 866

Legacy United Titan Class Tidal Wave sold out on Hasbro Pulse almost the moment preorders opened.

JT Prime warns that Nemesis was made close to order, so Tidal Wave probably won’t see deep discounts either.

Leaks bring Studio Series Concept Art Sunstreaker, Legacy Gears stock photos and codenames for three new collaboratives.

The crew also reacts to Masterpiece MPG-07 Ginoh and early in-hand photos of MP-58 Hoist.

What We Got This Week

Don

Don got the retro Blaster and Soundwave, which arrived with no packing material. Soundwave’s box got beat up, but the figure is fine. He also picked up Studio Series Scrapheap.

Matt

Matt got a second Toxitron Collection Cloudcover, one for his Seekers and one for his G2 shelf. His sister also sent him LEGO Optimus Prime with a lighting kit.

Diecast

Diecast got Core Class Bumblebee movie concept art Rumble and calls it his worst Core Class of the year so far. MMC sent a parts-free Megatron body for about $65, letting him build a second Megatron from leftover parts. He also got Fans Hobby Huntsman, Yolopark’s G1 Megatron kit from the crowdfunding, and the 40th anniversary Blaster.

Rob

Rob pointed listeners to Transformers Battlegrounds in a Humble Bundle at the $5 tier, available until the 23rd.

Chris

Chris had nothing in Transformers this week. Seven inches of snow kept the mail away.

Brian

Brian got the 40th anniversary retro Blaster. He loves the colors and the gold Steeljaw weapons, and Laserbeak really pops.
