2024 Store Exclusives: G1 GoBots Three-Pack
New listings include a three-pack of G1 GoBots Treads, Pathfinder and Small Foot, on the Warpath, Cosmos and Gears molds. That gets fans to five of the original six GoBots, and the crew guesses a late-summer release since Gears has to finish its run first. One host would love Bug Bite redone with Volkswagen parts and a Decepticon symbol. [Source: TFW2005]
Target’s Studio Series 86 Ratchet and Brawn Two-Pack
Target gets another Buzzworthy Bumblebee two-pack, with Voyager Studio Series 86 Ratchet and a battle-damaged Deluxe Brawn, continuing the shuttle massacre. One host expects Ratchet’s battle damage to allow the same parts swap some of the crew did with Ironhide. The crew jokes that dead Wheeljack and Windcharger have to be next. [Source: TFW2005]
Target’s Optimus Prime With a Bullseye Ravage
A Target set pairs the Laser Optimus Prime cab with an Earthrise trailer in Target colors, plus a Ravage dressed as Bullseye, Target’s dog mascot. The crew notes Ravage has no real way to interact with Optimus. One host wishes Hasbro had used Earthrise Optimus, and another explains why a conventional cab looks more like a modern Target truck. Walmart Retro Optimus Prime Gets Its Trailer
Walmart’s Retro G1 Optimus Prime reissue returns, this time with the trailer. The trailerless version cleared out at around $35. The crew guesses $75 or more and thinks a complete Prime at about $80 would sell. Retro Bombshell and Ramhorn will also come packed together. [Source: TFW2005]
Legacy Road Pig, Mayhem Bludgeon and Ruckus, and Leader Soundwave
Road Pig is confirmed as a Crash Bar retool. Generations Mayhem brings a Voyager Bludgeon, likely in Pretender shell colors, a week and a half after one host bought a cheap secondhand one. Deluxe Ruckus will be a Beachcomber mold. Leader Soundwave reuses the Netflix Earthrise Soundwave tooling, which the crew finds hard to justify at Leader price. [Source: TFW2005]
Next Transformers HasLab Revealed Tuesday
Hasbro will reveal its next Transformers HasLab during Tuesday’s 10 a.m. Eastern Transformers Tuesday stream. Matt bets on Devastator, while Don hopes for Robots in Disguise Omega Prime. Another host thinks Omega Prime would suit HasLab because it has no place at retail, and one host would back it just for Spy Changer stretch goals. Another jokes about a transforming Ghostbusters proton pack. [Source: not found]
Robosen Teases Flagship Megatron
Robosen is teasing a flagship-line Megatron, marked April 2024. The crew expects a tank. [Source: Instagram]
Yolopark AMK Pro Optimus Prime Revealed
Yolopark’s AMK Pro Optimus Prime stands about 20 centimeters tall and costs about the same as the Megatron. Diecast had urged people to back the Megatron so an Optimus Prime would follow. Light weathering gives it some wear without Siege-style damage. [Source: Instagram]
A new Authentics Alpha Megatron looks pretty decent for an Authentics figure, though it could use more paint. [Source: TFW2005]
Super7 Ultimates Wave 4 In Hand
Wave 4 includes a dead Optimus Prime holding the Matrix, a non-ghost Starscream and Soundwave with a comic-panel mouth head. Brian was tempted, but the crew points out it is not Dark Awakening Optimus Prime. Soundwave stores his weapon like the original toy. [Source: TFW2005]
A Possible MPM Brawl Test Shot
A test shot appears to show Movie Masterpiece Brawl, with swirled plastic colors from the mold. One host says test-shot photos are much rarer than they used to be. [Source: TFW2005]
