Legacy United Vector Prime Stock Photos Leak
Stock photos of Legacy United Voyager Vector Prime leaked just before the show. Exvee called it a year ago: it is a heavy retool of Jhiaxus. He spots new chest, bicep and forearm parts, while the legs carry over with the empty ankle-wing hinges. Rob misses the original’s clockwork detailing but finds the exposed wires a fair substitute. One host wishes the wings and Cyber Planet Key were maroon, like the Takara Tomy Galaxy Force version. The crew expects an Alpha Trion redeco and a third-party upgrade kit with Safeguard. Robosen Megatron Promo Video Leaks a Day Early
Robosen’s promo video for its flagship G1 Megatron surfaced on its YouTube channel a day before the planned reveal. Several hosts call it exactly what they expected, good but not mind-blowing. One host still worries these robots become paperweights once the tech ages. New touch sensors let owners pose limbs by hand to program moves without the app. The crew loves the tiny spinning Decepticon symbol, the motorized treads and the missile launcher. Price guesses land around $1,600 to $1,700. [Source: TFW2005]
Transformers One Official Trailer Launches From Space
The first Transformers One trailer debuted after Paramount sent it to space. Matt says it feels like a Pixar or DreamWorks film and calls that a smart move, even if it is not aimed at him. John DeLuna agrees and expects it to find its audience on streaming. Don sees a lot of heart and a strong companion to EarthSpark. He urges fans not to harsh on anyone who likes it. Rob thinks the faces could be more distinct but would happily watch it. Diecast thinks the origin story is pitched at older fans too. Exvee adds that director Josh Cooley built his own take from Hasbro’s lore binder. [Source: Tom’s Guide]
Transformers Studio Series SS-112 Deluxe Transformers One Optimus Prime In-Hand Images
A collector in China already has Studio Series Transformers One Optimus Prime, packaging included. The crew debates whether the off-silver plastic reads as beige or gray. John DeLuna, a designer, is irritated that the box prints the word Transformers twice in two fonts. Don, with a marketing background, thinks the colors will stand out on the shelf. Exvee dislikes the Orion Pax slash Optimus Prime character label. [Source: TFW2005]
Transformers One Mainline Toys Revealed
The mainline Transformers One toys include a transforming Optimus Prime mask and new Deluxe Optimus Prime and Alpha Trion molds. The core Optimus Prime uses real silver, which puts it ahead of the Studio Series figure for some hosts. The crew finds it odd to have two similarly engineered Optimus Prime toys on purpose. One host likes the blue Optimus Prime mask but would not pay $35 for it. Don urges collectors to help confused parents in the toy aisle once the movie lands. [Source: TFW2005]
2025 Retailer Exclusive Listings Leak
Early 2025 exclusive listings dropped the same day. Target’s Bullseye line includes a Gamer Edition Devastation two-pack with a Seeker and a blue ground soldier car, plus a Studio Series 86 Perceptor with Ramhorn and Ratbat. Walmart gets a Cybertron-themed capsule with Sideways, Excellion and Skywarp, plus an unnamed leader. Amazon gets Mayhem versus Wreckers sets, including Iron Fist versus Carnivac from Siege Hound and Weird Wolf retools. Pulse listings include Dinoking, a Skybound Comics Jetfire three-pack and a Hearts of Steel set. Collaborations include Sonic and four mystery Hot Wheels slots. The listings came from early sources, so details may change. [Source: TFW2005]
Transformers MPM-15 Movie Masterpiece Decepticon Brawl Revealed by Hasbro China
Hasbro China revealed Movie Masterpiece MPM-15 Brawl. Diecast likes it, since he missed the hard-to-find leader Brawl. Exvee thinks it has the most cross-collector appeal of any Movie Masterpiece but expects Target markdowns. Designer Sam Smith posted design notes and height charts across several Instagram posts, collected by TFW2005. The crew notes Brawl completes the 2007 Decepticon cast. [Source: TFW2005]
Legacy United Deluxe Cybertron Hot Shot First Look
Legacy United Cybertron Hot Shot leaked, and the crew thinks it looks great. Next to Studio Series 86 Hot Rod it matches in size, while it dwarfs Legacy Sideburn. Exvee plans to wait for the Excellion redeco in the 2025 Walmart capsule. Don is lukewarm on the character. [Source: TFW2005]
Mark Maher Shares Prime Cliffjumper From the Target Four-Pack
Hasbro designer Mark Maher posted photos and notes on Prime Cliffjumper from this summer’s Target four-pack. The head follows the usual path of starting from the Prime design and adding a nose. [Source: Instagram]
DNA Design DK-54 Animated Powermaster Upgrade Kit for Legacy Animated Optimus Prime
DNA Design revealed add-ons that turn Legacy Animated Optimus Prime into a Wingblade-style form. They also nod to the Powermaster concept from the Allspark Almanac. Diecast preordered it and bought a second Animated Optimus Prime to go with it. Exvee is holding off over the roughly $60 price and the missing battle mask. [Source: TFW2005]
Legacy United Nucleous Leaks
First pictures of Legacy United Nucleous dropped during the show. It is a heavy retool of the first Rock Lord-style mold. Exvee has skipped the rock vehicles but admits this one is wacky enough to tempt him. Another host is waiting for markdowns. [Source: not found]
Prototype G1 Unicron Instructions Surface
Don spotted instructions online for the unproduced prototype G1 Unicron, including a gun that doubles as a planet-mode stand. Asked about a HasLab, Diecast would be tempted. Exvee would rather see a Studio Series 86 concept art Unicron at leader or commander class. [Source: not found]
What We Got This Week
Diecast
Diecast got Deluxe Shard but has not transformed her yet. A long-awaited Lunar Optimus Prime finally arrived from a deep-discount order. He also got another Omega Supreme in green, which a friend pointed out is in Philadelphia Eagles colors. His last pickup was the FansToys Fireflight jet from Nick the Toy Guy. He notes the hip parts are the wrong color and replacements come with the final jet. He has no problem with the price but balks at $399 for the final jet and combiner parts.
Matt
Matt bought a third Titan Class Guardian Robot from Amazon at $160. He plans to make it a dark Guardian for his Quintessons.
John DeLuna
John DeLuna had nothing in Transformers this week.
Rob Clay
Rob got Origin Wheeljack from Target after Don tipped him off that it was in stock. He finds it not frustrating to handle despite being a pile of panels. One flame piece on the front will not stay pegged, so he plans to thicken the peg with clear acrylic. He passed on the Guardian Robot because he has nowhere to put it.
Exvee
Exvee got Legacy Sandstorm and calls it a rare triple changer where no mode suffers. The robot mode looks better in hand than in photos, and the chest holds better than he feared. The transformation is fiddly, especially compressing the rotor for the dune buggy mode. The helicopter mode is the cleanest of the two alt modes. He loves the winch, which pegs onto almost any toy with a five millimeter post. He could do without the separate rubber tires.
Don
Don got Studio Series 86 Concept Art Megatron, which he calls the opposite of Sandstorm: both alt modes are sacrificed for a great robot mode. He also got a third Titan Class Guardian Robot, using some Donanomics to get it down to about $115. His last pickup was the Autobots United five-pack from GameStop for about $109 after reward points. He has not opened it yet but looks forward to Hound, Jazz, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack and Trailbreaker.
